Bancroft Elementary School and the PlayStart Organizing Committee
welcome all the parents, relatives and friends of young children in
Mount Pleasant to come help build our school-community playground.
The PlayStart playground will be separated from the elementary school
playground by a chain link fence. It will be open to the community during and after school, holidays and
weekends. The HeadStart and pre-K classes will use the playground
primarily between 11 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. weekdays.
Bancroft's Current HeadStart Playground
This fall, Bancroft HeadStart received a small climb-and-slide. PlayStart funding will make
it possible to buy more equipment, add benches and landscape the play
area.
The Proposed Site

build equipment, and raise money. If you would
